Community engagement

School programs

Mimiw Sakahikan school students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 participated in Imperial’s Maskwacis Passport to Energy program on October 5, 2015. This was an educational program that teaches students about geology, petroleum products, Alberta ecosystems, and reclamation in a fun and inspiring environment. Imperial looks forward to coming back again! Mimiw Sakahikan School is located one kilometer east of the hamlet of Ma-Me-O Beach on highway 13A, on the Pigeon Lake Reserve #138.

Community open house

On October 6, 2015 Imperial hosted an Open House at the Pigeon Lake Recreation Center for all nations of the Maskwacis community to share information and for people to learn more about the project.
